Dear Mother + Dad -
How are you, I hope fine and the old world is treating you swell. I hope that spring is there to stay now and it is lovely. I imagine your flowers are in full bloom now and all the trees have tender little leaves on them, this is a lovely time of the year and everything is coming to life after the long cold winter months. Will you have to let much of your load stay idle this year or did you sow a lot of grain. I guess it is just impossible to get help tp work it this year. Maybe the [ineligible] shortage will ease up soon, I hope so. How is the fruit crop, did they get through this year. I hope so and you'll have plenty I'd like to have some fresh peaches with sugar and cream, that would be a delicious dish. Watermelon, I haven't tasted any since 1942, quite awhile but I bet they still just as good as they used to be. Have you heard from Bob since he landed. He must have gone on the Continent, for I haven't heard from him, thought maybe I'd get to see him if he stopped over here. I hope that he is O.K. and who knows maybe he'll be back home before too long. He'll come through O.K. there's no reason why he shouldn't, he is a pretty good raised fellow now isn't he. I'm glad his body is growing so much and he has a mouth full of teeth doesn't he. I know he is lots of pleasure to you now. Did you have a nice Easter. I hope so. Georgia and Bruce are fine. I wish so much that I could be there with them, I pray that soon I can rush home to my little wife and son. They mean everything to me and I love them both so much, no one will ever know. Bruce is such an adorable little rascal and so [ineligible] all day and all that we want in our son. He has himself a [ineligible] and is into everything. What a boy and what a road daddy and husband I am. Spring has come here, I guess, the trees are putting out and the grass far gather green again. I'm glad to see it too. We are on double summertime again, it is bright until 9:30 P.M. quite a long day. Well I'll sign off and say good nite. Tell all hello.
Love to all
Bob -
