Dear Mama, Daddy + all,
Hello and how are you all, I'm all right except for being tired. We had a pretty hard day to-day, we marched 4 1/2 miles in 45 minutes, I liked to have give out, but I gritted my teeth and made it.
We fixed the machine gun yesterday and to-day, I qualified with it this time. We have two more days of it and two days with the 6o M.M. [ineligible] this week.
A boy had a fit Sunday, he was pitiful, I believe I'll have one some of these days. "haha" I may get ten days [ineligible]
(over)
The mail clerk said we would, he may be wrong but I hope he's right. I could use ten days.
How is everything up there? Hope you all are getting along all right. I like this outfit just fine, but these damn [Yankees?] worry me with their crazy talk. I'm going to start a civil war some of these days.
Well I have five and a half more weeks, they will be tough, they give us the toughest training possible. They give us everything but a discharge and pay.
Well, I'll close for now. Write when you can. Tell all hello.
Lots of love to all, Bob.
