Dear Mama, Dady, + all,
Hello and how's everybody, I'm all right, haven't worked very much this week - was on K.P till dinner to-day and slept nearly three hours this evening. [tear] is shipping out in three weeks, there's a chance that I'll go with them. I don't expect to go but things have been popping and anything can happen. They really need men over there, They pulled a battalion off of [unelligible] last week and shipped them out. Our [Cyek?] was cut to 15 weeks with one week of [unelligible] and five days at home. I hope I ship out when the company goes but I won't be that [unelligible].
We are going on [unelligible] next Sunday, if I haven't been transferred then, I have to go and do K.P I sure hate that. I like the training but I sure hate this damn detail work.
Are you about through gathering corn? I imagine you're about done by now. By the way, where did the little calf come from. You ought to tell me what's going on up there. [tear] can't guess who told me.
We have had some pretty weather the past few days, I haven't worn a coat except at night in several days.
If they don't do something with me in the next few weeks, I think I'll put in for an occupational discharge. I joined the army to fight and not to wash dishes and pick up trash.
Well, there's not much news so I'll say so long. Write when you can. Send me the money, I'll need it in case we ship out. We won't get paid until the 10th of Jan. I'm getting disgusted with the army. Tell all hello.
Love to all,
Bob.
