Dear Folks,
Hello everybody, how's everything. Just fine I hope. Well, it's Xmas but doesn't seem like it.
I received the box Sat. sure am proud of it, I will eat now. I won't go to the mess hall for a week. I sure do appreciate it and thanks a lot.
I didn't even get drunk this Xmas. The first time in years. Wonder what will happen, The [unelligible] made music last night, they sure had a time, I went in and listen to them for a while. We have a fine bunch of boys here, wish I could ship out with them. They don't have but three more weeks and then they'll get five days at home and [inelligible] a boat.
Buford and I were together all day yesterday and I may go out there after dinner. I got a pass and went to [Starbe] Sat. night. He couldn't get me this week. He went on sick call and they wouldn't give him a pass.
I guess we'll have a big dinner to day but I had rather have beans and be at home.
Well, I'll close for this time. Thanks again for the box and hope you all had a fine Xmas. Write often you can.
Love to all,
Bob.
