Dear Mama, Daddy + all,
Hello, and how are you all. I'm O.K. Tried to fall out with the company to-day, but they wouldn't let me, put me to work instead. I had it easy to-day, we didn't work hard and got off at four o'clock. I'll be transferred to some other company but don't know when. I may stay with this outfit two or three weeks and then leave.
I saw Buford to-night [intelligible] he doesn't like the army but he will get used to it later on. He seems to be in a good outfit, I talked to his cap. and he is a pretty good guy. I wouldn't mind being in his company.
Us have a man who is being discharged to go back on the farm. I don't like the army, but after the war is over I'll feel better by serving than I would by being out.
I'll sign off for this time. Write soon. Tell all hello.
Love to all,
Bob
