The photograph is in an old frame. It has five liquid stains on the right side of the image and one on the left, plus a few much smaller stains. It has been re-packed with modern matboard backing, covered with brown kraft paper; this paper has been cut to remove the image for photographing. On the back of the brown paper are two white labels with handwriting, which read:
