Glimpse Of History Provided By This Old School Photo
This glimpse of history is provided by Mrs. Alfred Rawlinson of 1316 Guinyard Ave. West Columbia, S.C., and shows some of the youngsters taught by her mother, Mrs. Nannie Taylor Moon, at Pleasant Grove Between 1914-1915. Students are, left to right, front row, Floree Hardin, the second child is unknown, the next five first names are unknown by last names are, Johnson, Tate, McCoy, Waddell and Tate. The next two identities are also unknown and the next two are Gordon L. Smith and Walter Tate. Back row. left to right, are Ed. Smith, Ben Waddell, Harold Smith, the next is unknown, Eva Elmore, Axie Tate, Odell Hall, D. L. Mayfield, Miles Tate, Hubert Mayfield and their teacher, Nannie Taylor Moon.
