WARRANT OF ATTACHMENT
To ANY CONSTABLE: of the County of SPARTANBURG Greeting:
WHEREAS, an application has been made to me by W.Z.M.Wilson of ........................ State of South Carolina, Plaintiff.... for a Warrant of Attachment against the property of James P. Waddle Defendant.... and it appearing by affidavit that a cause of action exists in favor of the said Plaintiff.... against the said Defendant.... for the sum of One Hundred Dollars with interest from the Judgment day of ........................ 192.... the said affidavit specifying the amount of said claim and the grounds thereof, and that the Defendant is justly due plaintiff on agricultural lian the said sum and the said Plaintiff.... having also given the undertaking required by law; Now, you are hereby commanded, that you attach and safely keep all personal property of the said Defendant ........................ [Dollars struck out] or so much thereof as may be sufficient to satisfy the said Plaintiff demand of One Hundred Dollars with interest as aforesaid, together with all cost and expenses, and that you proceed herewith in the manner required of you by law.

Affidavit for Warrant of Attachment.
Personally appeared before me W.Z.M.Wilson who upon oath says (1) That a cause of action exists against the Defendant ........................ in favor of plaintiff.... for the sum of ONE HUNDRED Dollars on account of Lien for rent and Advances on crops grown on plaintiff's lands 1926 by defendant. (2) That defendant is a foreign corporation (Source of information) X (3) That defendant is not a X resident of this State (Source of information) ........................ (4) that the X defendant is the master, captain, or agent of a sailing vessel entering a port of this State without paying the pilotage fees X provided by law (Source of information) ........................ (5) That the defendant X has departed from the State with in-tent to defraud his or its creditors, or to avoid service of a summons, or keeps X himself concealed therein with the like intent (Source information) X (6) That suck defendant corpora-tion or person has removed, or is about to remove, his or its property from this State, with intent to defraud his or its creditors, or has assigned, disposed of or secreted, or is about to assign, dispose of X or X secret, his or its property with like intent (Source of information).

Know all men by these presents, that in pursuance of the Acts of the General Assembly of this State, regulating Attachments, we W.Z.M.Wilson as principal and Grace W.Miller as surety are held and firmly bound unto in the full and just sum of Twenty-five Dollars to be paid unto the said defendant, his certain attorneys, executors, administrators or assigns. To which payment well and truly to be made and done we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators, jointly and severally firmly by these presents.
Sealed with our Seals and dated the 7th. day of December A. D. 1926
WHEREAS, W.Z.M.Wilson is about to issue and sue out of the Court of R.R.Dempsey Magistrate for the County of Spartanburg and State aforesaid, a warrant of Attachment to attach all the Personal Estate, including money and bank notes, except such Personal state as is exempt from attachment, levy and [two holes] Constitution.
AND WHEREAS, under and by virtue of the provisions of law in relation thereto, it is directed and prescribed, that before issuing the Warrant, the Magistrate shall require a written undertaking on the part of the Plaintiff.... with sufficient Surety, to the effect that if the defendant.. recover.... judgement or the Attachment be set aside by order of the Court, the Plaintiff.... will pay all costs that may be awarded to the Defendant.... and all damages which ....he.... may sustain by reason of the Attachment, not exceeding the sum specified in the undertaking which shall be at least TWENTY-FIVE DOLLARS.
NOW, THEREFORE, the CONDITION OF THE ABOVE OBLIGATION IS SUCH, That if the said W.Z.M.Wilson and Grace W. Miller shall pay, or cause to be paid, to the said Defendant, his certain Attorney, Executors, Administrators or Assigns, all costs that may by awarded to the said Defendant.... all damages which the said defendant.... may sustain by reason of the Attachment about to be issued as aforesaid, then the above obligation to be void and of none effect or else to remain in full force and virtue.

This is therefore, to require you to appear before me, in my office, in Greer,S.C. on the 20th. day from the service of this summons, exclusive of the day of service at 10 o'clock AM., to answer to the said complaint, or judgment will be given against you by default.
