At 3 o’clock last night while the world was at rest and the moon seemed to send forth it’s brightest silver rays for the especial purpose of lighting the way for the angels to descend in their second visit to Greers within the past week, Mrs. Victoria E. Bailey, who was sent for by her Heavenly Father, laid aside her mortal robes and was waiting, clad in beautiful robes of white to accompany them to her future home.
Mrs. Bailey was the widow of Mr. W. C. Bailey and the mother of Mrs. W.W. Burgiss and the mother of Mrs. C. E. Smith, Miss Bettie Bailey, E.C. Bailey and E.W. Bailey. She left one sister, Mrs. N.M. Sullivan, and an only brother, Maj. John W. Cunningham.
Funeral services at the Mt. Tabor Presbyterian Church today at 11 o’clock and burial at the Bailey grave yard at 12 o’clock.
