Seneca SC Jan 26
Dear Papa and Mama,
I guess you all think I have long forgotten you all but I have not I have not had much time for any thing since I came home, we have got moved at last and it has just been one thing after another but I got home safe after such a long time I stayed at Ms. Millers sunday night and started for have Mon. Morning we got home about twelve Oclock I guess.
Elliott came to Seneca Sat. to meet me I believe he would come it never rained up here sat. I don't think like it but down there but it sure did do some raining they said Sat. night it moved a good many bridges.
Well I have not got any never to fourite this time. We are going this week to have Marshal picture takened and will send it right away. He has not been well for a week as more now he was sick last might and is not much better yet. He has got one eye tooth through that is what the matter with him now he has not got much cold I hope his teeth will not hurt him much.
I will have to stay close with him for the Measels is uo here pretty thick now they are in sight of Mannings now and the Whooping cough is up here they say it is pretty thick over here among the highoes,
Well Mama I guess your hens is laying by now are they not mine is not laying now I want them to start up though I want to set one right off, I have not got any garden built yet but Eliott is about ready to come mence it now.
Papa what kind of Molasses cane seed did you say to get for you I forgot as I ^ don't pay much attention to the names of cane seed
I guess I had better close for this time Eliott is going to Seneca if it quits something in time you must excuse paper and haste as my paper is out and I did not want to wait till Eliott got back from Seneca
