Dear Papa and Mama,

I don't feel much liking writing this evening I have been to preaching this morning and cine back and feel tired Preacher Stancil is going to preach at Greenvill to night Elliott and some of the other Wolf-Stake men is gone with him I got a letter from Carol a few days ago she is getting a long just fine she says, Are you all having amet spell now? We sure did have some rain yesterday the bridges between hear and Seneca is all washed away there is a lot of bottom corn ruined. We are just about done pulling fodder, have a bale of cotton picked.
Bruce is going to school at Walhalla this time they did not any of the children say they missed me much ^ when I was down there, but Bruce she said she felt right home sick with out me. I have been feeling right bad since I come home I have not hardly felt like doing my things
I think the most of the cause is from my teeth my is never easy hardly ever Alma has had the tooth ache a right smart since I come home too and has been right sick Mama you can give Hettie and ernestine one of each and you can keep one of each I will send Bertha hers I will have to close so write soon and come.
