We thank you very much for your courteous favor of the 28th
instant regarding bonds which the Own of Greer anticipates disposing
of in the very near future.
Will you be king enough to advise us after your Council
meets, so that we will know if this proposition goes through.
[Inasmuch] as we have carried this account for a long time,
would it not be possible to arrange locally for a short time loan
in order to take up our account, as we really ought to have our
money, and if the bond issue carries, it ought to be agreeable with
your local banks to advance your Committee sufficient funds to take
care of your immediate demands.
