- In 1993, the Hudsons organized the Greer Heritage Museum. It opened three years later in the old Bailes Collins Store on Trade Street. A retired nurse, schoolteacher, and librarian, Mrs. Hudson's dream was to preserve local history for the next generation. On their retirement as directors in August 2006, Mayor Richard Danner presented them a City Proclamation, honoring their community work.
