Charles W. Drace House

An itinerant photographer from Pennsylvania, Charles W. Drace, settled down in Greer in the 1890s. He married Fanny Miller of Greer, opened a photo studio, and was a successful businessman in Greer until his death in 1928.

Drace built this home in 1897. An 1898 photograph shows Drace with his wife and daughter, Pearl. The house was sold to Jeff and Nelle Howell, and is sometimes referred to as the Howell House.
