I’m sorry you are not well today, lucrease the digitol [sic] and take the whiskey or at least some wine during the day.
I guess you really need a dose or two of strychnine. I tried to take a nape while ago and work up with a foot tickling in my face. This bed is not large enough for us today. The side of my head settled sore yesterday so today my teeth don’t hurt and the soreness is about gone. My ear is also easy. I’d be up some if the weather were pretty. Polly is a job to keep half still. Late said she could sit up some tomorrow but I say, “no,” not for another day or two. We don’t want any more relapses. He says we must feed her lots of different things. She sits up part of the time in bed.
Aunt Emma sent her a lovely book today.
Gladys Underwood has had a nervous breakdown. Send Doc down to get you some straw ferries. We have a handful of ripe ones and I imagine you have too. Thank Conce for the dog and kitten she sent Polly. We will write when we can.
Please, get better. I believe when the sun gets out warm that will help. I’ll get up then to stay. I don’t want any of this dampness settling in my head.
Will see you in a few more days if everything goes well.
Love,
Helen
