Superintendent of both the Greenville New and Peidmont [sic] and Lill is overseer of about 200 girls at the s_oing shots(?) and I am still on my job doing nothing and exfeat(?) to seen it on I dont [sic] know how much my boys salaries are been I guess several hundred dollars per month I shure [sic] are proud of my boys aint you [sic]
Anthony Hart has nigalates as pap used to say marrying a woman with a gang of children and a mother in law Ill guess he cant [sic] run his business at home like tried to run the 3 Church and Sunday school he dont [sic] want to be a Deacon unless he has the lead I think it is time to stop Campbell and Hart from running the Churches unless they want to ruin it Sister Lon is better I have just heard from her best She is liable to be suarse [sic] any minute there shells with her heart is liable to attact [sic] her any moment I take dinner at Doras [sic] nearly every day so I am still boarding among the Scollars [sic] and have plenty to eat Dora and Bob dont [sic] kiok [sic] so I dont [sic]either

Lill is still dancing in the hog trough which suits me exactly I have not been up home for several weeks sorry to hear of Bob_(?) being sick I mean Mrs Clayton, Jim Bates was convicted and I think it was a just verdict the Judge talked nice a bout [sic] the case when the sentenced him I guess mears will be given the same sentence and Joe Faster also I do think that Creeikshanks caught to be with them in prison and somebody else in his place dont[sic] you - Alice we are in the same house we 5 moord(?) in when we come here seven years ago and we are with good people just like home folks and kin folks I have been to naces [sic] I like his wife fine she is a good cook I am a judge of good things to eat Alice I housed a niece living I love better than you now dont [sic] get mad at the truth for how quit lieing [sic] long ago

Alice I love pleasant hill and will long as I live it is a dear spot to me I wish it was possible for me to be there every Sunday Oh how I would enjoy it
