Dearest Don;
I was so glad to see you and your dear Daddy Sunday. I was feeling so tired from the heat and other things that I hardly had good sense. I spent Monday in the bed and I’ve spent at least three books in bed every day since. I am just one gigantic ache. But my aches are no impediment to my enjoying those delicious peaches. I really have been feasting.
Grand daddy finished his cotlore patch yesterday afternoon. I don’t have to continue a lunch today to appeal to his capricious appetite. I generally add a qt of milk whipped up with raw eggs. He drinks that and brings his other lunch back. The chickens raise no objection to their procedure.
I am hoping to see you and your Daddy again very soon.
Love to you both, Me-Ma
