Dear Sirs:
I saw the article about the Greer Heritage Museum and wanted to contribute to this effort of remembering my past. My father, Milton Woodward Hendrix was born in Greer in 1905. he was the son of Doc Miles Hendrix and Anne Woodward Hendrix. I understand my great grandfather Woodward built some homes around Greer and my great aunt Maude Woodward Mahoney would ride with him and other family members to the coast of SC and Ga to order his lumber for the coming year for his business.
The Hendrix family has been in Greer and Spartanburg area for many years. I remember going to Abner Creek Baptist Church on Hwy 101 for family reunions and there are Hendrix's buried out there. Enclosed is my contribution in memory of my father Milton Woodward Hendrix and his parents.
Sincerely,
Patricia H. Ballew
