Queen's banquet Given Saturday By Kiwanis Club
Program is put on by Visiting Queens
Dr. T. O. Walker, president of the Kiwanis Club of Greer, presided at the fourth annual Kiwanis Queens' Banquet held as one of the concluding parts of the fourth annual South Carolina Peach Festival on Saturday evening in the cafeteria of the Greer Senior High School.
Following a delightful meal, entertainment was provided by Miss Karen Smith of Greenville, accordionist, who played several selections, much to the delight of the unusually large attendance at the banquet. Miss Smith had appeared on Thursday evening as an entertainer during the opening phases of the beauty contest.

Penland, who on Friday evening was chosen the 1960 Peach Festival Queen, expressed her appreciation to the people of Greer for the wonderful job of putting on such a "wonderful festival" and the "honor it is to serve Greer as your queen."
Appearing on the program with Miss Purvis and Miss Penland were Miss Anne Goldsmith, Miss Tootsie Dennis, the current "Miss South Caroline," Miss Jeanette Ardell, "Miss Dixie" and Miss Jeanne Davey, North Carolina Apple Festival Princess.
Miss Davey made the "Miss Congeniality" presentation to Miss Rickey Harvey of Sumter.
Concluding the program and making their debut in Greer was the Kiwanis Boys Choir, under the direction of Charles S. Gatwood, minister of music at the First Baptist Church, who sang a rendition of "The Lord's Prayer;" "We Like Geography" and "Old King Cole." The boys have been practicing together for only about five weeks.
Individual momento trophies were awarded by Dr. Hubert Adair, Festival President, for the first time to all of the contestants, visiting queen and to Miss Humphries. - Relation
