Tickets On Sale To Annual Peach Festival Events
Beauty Pageant and Banquet Highlights
The South Carolina Peach Festival, slated for the first week in June, will feature the annual Beauty Pageant and Banquet highlights during the festivities during the week.
Members of the Chamber of Commerce are urged to get reservations in for the banquet on June 7th at 7:30 p.m. and for the beauty pageant preliminary on Thursday, June 8th and the finals on Friday, June 9th. Time for the beauty pageant will be 8 p.m. on both nights.
Officials of the Chamber are expecting a maximum crowd on Wednesday to hear Senator Ernest F. Hollings make the keynote address at the annual banquet and a full house for the increasingly popular beauty pageant preliminary as well as the finals. Tickets for the banquet are $3 each and the beauty pageant will be $1.50 for the Thursday night affair and $2 on Friday.
At the latest report, the Chamber announced several Jaycee chapters waiting to enter their respective queens. Contestants will number 40 this year along with seven visiting queens.
