1895 VICTOR MILL
Edward Mosely, brick maker, arrived in early August to begin making bricks for the new textile mill.

1900s GREER CPW [Abbreviation of Commission of Public Works]
James Jenkins, born in 1869 in Piney Grove, came to Greer in 1898 and settled at Needmore Community. He was employed by the CPW as a brick mason to build the original manholes on Emma Street, now known as W. Poinsett Street. He was active in the building of Bailey View School.
