Front:
A new w[torn]n tub with a hole bored in the side for water to run out will keep fifty pounds of ice one week. Line tub with newspapers and cover ice with papers and woolen blanket. Put stove board on the top of it to keep out heat.
When the tablecloth has been spread take a few drops of equal parts of lavender oil and water and with an atomizer or a new whisk broom spray the cloth and all of the flies will dis-appear from the room in a few min-utes. I have used it for years with perfect success and the odor is ex-tremely pleasant.
