- The oldest photo yet uncovered of Greer's history by the Main Street Program Committee, shows the original First Baptist Church (top right) which was located at the corner of Cannon and Jason Streets on the site of the present Episcopal Church of the Good Shepard. This photo, faded over the years, is believed to have been made around 1900, and is the property of a North Carolina resident.
