DESCRIPTION AN[D D]ETAIL SPECIFICATIONS.
LOCATION & DESC[RIPTION .] [The work to be] done consists of the
[constrixtion] of an electric light system for the Town of Greer, S. C.
as follows: One [brick] building located on the Railroad in town
in which will be the following [machinery]: One 125 K.V.A. generator
direct connected to a 4-valve engine with necessary, steam, exhaust and electrical con-
nections, foundations, etc: one (crossed out) pole line.s (hand-written in) [no] [illegible text].
DRAWINGS. - On file with the Board of Public Works are draw-
ings that show the character and location of the work to be con-
structed in all essential details and are enumerated as follows:
Nos. _________________________. These drawings and specifications
shall form a part of the contract.
Working drawings showing further details will be furnished
during the construction of the work. Figures on drawings shall
take precedence over scale measurements.
MATERIAL AND WORKMANSHIP.- All materials shall be of the best
quality as measured by the highest standard of the trade, and any
defects in material that would cause its rejection is strictly first
class work will cause its rejection here. All workmanship shall
be of the best quality throughout. It is the intent of these
specifications to describe definitely and fully the character of
materials and workmanship required with regards to all orindary
features, and any unexpected features arising during the progress
of the work and not fully covered therein shall be interpreted by
the Engineer in conformity with the intent and spirit of these
specifications for first class work, and such interpretation if
required shall be accepted by the Contractor.
